Not all crises have a solution; they appear, exist and make troubles
At the first session of the course "Management of crises: tools of evaluation and forecasting" , the expert, Cornel Ciurea affirmed that we are surrounded by crisis, and our societies are catastrophic one, societies that become more and more unpredictable with each day. There is always risk and, the risk multiplication determines the society to develop tools for prevent them, called crisis prevention tools. Unfortunately, our forecast capabilities are becoming more limited and the situation of guessing what will happen is very rare.

The course "Party systems and mechanism of controlling political elites" held by Mr. Dan Dungaciu started with the affirmation that, in nowadays, the civil society has a great influence in democratic nations, and it cannot exist in a environment where there isn’t a public space, such as, for example in totalitarian states.

Identity crisis - the challenge of post-communist Moldova
The historian Igor Casu, the author of the 2nd course entitled "Post-communist transit patterns in former USSR" accentuated some of the totalitarian communist regime traits as: uniqueness, omniscientence, omnipresence and oppressivity. He discussed about the monopoly of the Communist Party who imposed its exclusive monopoly in all areas of society and pretended to be the holder of the absolute truth, a truth which, however, was only illusory.
