Chisinau Municipality has a Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP)
Chisinau Municipality in partnership with IDIS "Viitorul" presented the Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP) of Chisinau. Thus, Chisinau became the first territorial-administrative unit of Moldova, which has developed a SEAP, assuming, in this respect, the commitment that reduce by 20% CO2 emissions, to increase renewable energy use by 20% and the energy efficiency by 20% by 2020. The event took place within the project "Increasing energy efficiency in Chisinau and Sevastopol municipalities based on existing positive experience".

Octavian Ţîcu:The Republic of Moldova geopolitical options in historical perspective
The Republic of Moldova is also currently exposed to the alternative of identification with Western civilization, whose political, economic and social form is the European Union and by military extension the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The post-election visits of foreign officials, be they Russians or Europeans, was an attempt to influence the decision to create a governmental alliance. However, the decision to abandon the balancing between East and West in favor of the rapprochement with the European Union belongs to the Moldovan political elite, which was apparently able to decipher the transmitted messages. The NATO Membership for Moldova is the Only National Security Efficient Solution, Experts Insist
The NATO membership is the only efficient and opportune policy option for Moldovan national security. A possible accession to NATO would become an intermediate stage of development, which by bringing Moldova closer to the Western countries, would greatly facilitate its European integration. Having access to the NATO guaranteed security would mean also opportunities for foreign direct investments in amount of around $2 billion. Information and Doccumentation Mission of the Black Sea Trust Fund in the R.Moldova (January 21 - 24)
Between 21 and 24 of January, a small delegation of the Black Sea Fund will visit Republic of Moldova with the aim to get a better understanding of the overall situation surrounding the country, situation of the conflict settlement, and political reforms. The BSTF aims to provide support to indigenous organizations working in Moldova to strengthen regional cooperation, civil society, and democratic foundations. Since 2003, GMF has launched a Balkan Trust for Democracy and since 2007 it extended its support through a Black Sea Trust, both multi-million dollar, 10+-year grantmaking initiatives, structured to support regional cooperation and good governance.
