Teachers migration – a brain waste
IDIS „Viitorul” in partnership with the Friedrich-Ebert-Schtiftung presented today, October 31, the the 15th edition of the Social Monitor entitled "Teacher Migration from Moldova: brain gain or brain waste?" From December activities of accreditation and assessment of products conformity will be facilitated
The Working Group on Trade, Services, Competition from the National Convention for the European Integration project met Friday, October 26, at the 8th Round Table. This time they discussed issues on technical barriers to trade: standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and technical regulations. Harmonization in this field with the acquis is an important aspect in the negotiation process with the European Union and requires a common position both from the government and the civil society, business, etc..

Best practices for collaboration between the LPA and the civil society
Several representatives of the local public administration from Moldova made a working visit in Sibiu, Romania. The seminar "Sustainable development of the civic community" was held as part of the partnership between Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Institute of quorum from Bucharest. The goal was to send Bavarian experience of involving citizens in the decision-making process and to exchange opinions and practices between LPA representatives from Romania, Moldova and Bavaria.

Inroad into the political parties from both banks of the Dniester
25 young people from both banks of Dniester discussed about the situation of political parties from Moldova and Transnistrian. The discussion platform was held recently in Dubasari as pasrt of the project "Building trust between both sides of the river Dniester - training of experts in public policy" and, took place August 28-31 in Ukraine. The project is implemented by IDIS "Viitorul" and Common House and funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and Hanns Seidel Stiftung. The project aims to train experts in public policy, in partnership with local, civil and political actors.

Structural reform of education: between commitments, opportunities and constraints
The educational reform divided the optimization stakeholders into two camps. On the one side, are reform promoters who argue loudly that the structural reform of secondary education, in the current version, is the only viable alternative to restructure and streamline it. The Ministry of Education is backed in these efforts by international financial institutions such as the Internation Monetary Found and World Bank. On the other hand, are opponents who consider that negative phenomena associated with education have not diminished but have increased, as evidenced by the exodus of pupils and students to study abroad.

School for political leadership restarts its activity. Moldova cannot be seated on two chairs and cannot fit in two Unions, one of them being window dressing
The idea of creating a Eurasian Union around Moscow has not gone unnoticed in Chisinau, the Communist Party coming soon to support this initiative. Civic Council of the Customs Service held its constituent meeting
Civic Council of the Customs Service held its constituent meeting on October 28, 2010. The legal framework for activity was approved at this first meeting. Also, the representative of the Economic Journalists Association was elected by consensus to be president of the Council. Viorel Chivriga from IDIS - Viitorul" was appointed as secretary of the council.
