Considering that the current Government proposed to efficiently manage and privatize public property, there are two options available for countries in transition. The first one is to liberalize totally and limit the role state in the economy. The second one is an active role played by the Government in economy, by involving in the development of the strategic defined sectors. Till now, it seems that Moldovan authorities didnt decide on any of these two options. These are the most important conclusions of IDIS associated economist Viorel Girbu in his policy brief entitled - Public policies in the field of privatization: approaches and perspectives".
