The Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS) "Viitorul" organized a retreat on Friday and Saturday, June 13 and 14, 2025, dedicated to representatives of civil society organizations from the Republic of Moldova, entitled "Strengthening Trust, Collaboration and Resilience." The activities took place within the "Strengthening Civil Society Resilience in the Republic of Moldova" project. The two-day retreat agenda included interactive activities, confidence-building exercises, group work sessions, open conversations, and moments of collective reflection.

The goal of the retreat was to strengthen the resilience of organizations and civil society representatives acting as human rights defenders in the Republic of Moldova, including from sensitive regions of the country. Another goal was to create a safe and inspiring space where participants could connect, share experiences, build mutual trust, and outline a common vision for long-term cooperation.

"The program created a friendly and safe environment for the open exchange of ideas and experiences. The interactive ice-breaking activities were particularly valuable, allowing participants to discover one another beyond their professional roles, thus strengthening the personal connections essential for effective collaboration. Guided discussions and group work on mapping the mission of civil society organizations facilitated the identification of common challenges and laid the foundation for clear and common objectives. This training laid the foundation for productive collaboration and will develop the spirit of trust and solidarity," said Elena Grigoriev, president of AO Indigo from Doroțcaia.

"I liked the information presented during the two days and the way it was presented. The methods for identifying real needs and systematizing them for a better understanding were explained clearly and concisely. This was a good learning experience with other civic activists. The most valuable experience was seeing that there are organizations in the same locality that are implementing similar ideas," said Irina Maicosa, a member of an organization in Râbnița.
